Goodlist

Terms of Service

The terms that govern using Goodlist.

Effective October 10, 2026

1.Acceptance

By creating a Goodlist account or using the app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Goodlist.

2.The service

Goodlist is a task-management app for personal to-dos and group task sharing, available on Android and on the web. Features include creating or joining up to two groups (Family or Team mode, each with its own member roles), requesting tasks from group members, a calendar view of what is due when, tracking medicines with reminders and a taken/skipped record, repeating tasks, optional task alarms and medicine reminders that ring on your phone until you answer them, adding and managing tasks by voice, in-app notifications, a completion history with undo, offline support with automatic sync, and a choice of 32 themes that change how the app looks (three of them with Premium). Goodlist is free to use; an optional Premium subscription lets you own a second group and lets you share a medicine with a group (see “Premium, free trial & billing” below). We may add, change, or remove features over time as the app evolves.

3.Your account

  • You’re responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential.
  • You’re responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide (like your email and display name).
  • One account per person — don’t share your login with others.
  • If you sign in with Google or Facebook, keeping that account secure is part of keeping your Goodlist account secure, and that company’s own terms apply to it.

4.Groups & sharing

Only invite people you trust to your group — they’ll be able to see the display names and shared/requested tasks associated with that group. Anyone with your group’s invite code can join it, so treat the code like you would a shared password. You can belong to at most two groups at a time.

5.Premium, free trial & billing

  • What’s free. Everything in Goodlist except owning a second group and sharing a medicine with a group: your personal tasks, one group of your own, joining someone else’s group, and tracking your own medicines with reminders.
  • Sharing a medicine. Tracking medicines and getting reminders is free for everyone. Sharing a medicine with a group — so its members can see the schedule and whether doses were taken — needs Premium, the same as owning a second group.
  • Free trial. The first time you create a second group of your own, or share a medicine with a group, a 30-day Premium trial starts automatically — whichever you do first. It’s one trial per account, so doing the other thing afterward doesn’t start a second one. No payment details are needed, and nothing is charged when it ends. If notifications are on, Goodlist reminds you a week and a day before the trial ends.
  • When Premium ends. If your trial or subscription ends and you don’t subscribe, your oldest group stays fully usable. Any other group you own becomes read-only: its members can still see everything, but nobody can add, edit or complete its tasks, rename it, or join it until you subscribe again. Nothing is deleted. Leaving, removing members and transferring ownership still work.
  • Group size. A group can have up to 5 members while its owner is on the free plan, or up to 20 while the owner has Premium (or the trial). The limit only applies to joining: if a group already has more members than its owner’s plan allows, nobody is removed, but nobody new can join until there is room or the owner subscribes.
  • Subscriptions. Premium is sold monthly or yearly, or as a one-time Lifetime purchase that never renews or expires. The price, in your local currency and including any taxes that apply, is shown before you confirm. Only the group owner pays; members never need Premium.
  • Changing plan. From the Premium screen you can switch from monthly to yearly, or buy Lifetime, and a yearly plan can be upgraded to Lifetime. The price is shown before you confirm. Buying Lifetime does not cancel a subscription that is still renewing — cancel it in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions, or from Premium → Manage subscription on the web.
  • Promotional access. Goodlist’s developer may give Premium or Lifetime for free, as a promotion. It works like Premium you paid for, may be for a limited time or have no end date, and may be withdrawn. It is a gift, not a purchase: nothing is billed or refundable, and it doesn’t cancel or replace a subscription you bought. If you also have a paid plan, you keep whichever lasts longer.
  • Tips. You can leave an optional one-time tip from the Premium screen. A tip is a thank-you: it doesn’t unlock anything or change how the app works, and refunds follow the same rules as other purchases below.
  • Billing & renewal. On Android, Google Play bills you; on the web, Stripe does, through RevenueCat. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. Lifetime and tips are charged once.
  • Cancelling. Cancel any time — in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions on Android, or from Premium → Manage subscription on the web. You keep Premium until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Deleting your Goodlist account does not cancel a subscription.
  • Refunds. Google Play purchases are refunded under Google Play’s refund policies. For purchases made on the website, contact us and we’ll review your request in line with the law that applies to you.
  • Price changes. If we change the price, we’ll tell you in advance, and it won’t apply until your next renewal, so you’ll have the chance to cancel first.

Nothing in these terms takes away rights you have under consumer-protection law where you live.

6.Acceptable use

Don’t use Goodlist to store or share unlawful content, don’t attempt to access another person’s account or data without authorization, and don’t abuse invite codes or the request/notification system to harass other users. We may suspend or remove accounts that violate this.

7.Your content

You own the tasks, notes, and other content you create in Goodlist. By using the app, you grant us the limited permission needed to store, sync, and display that content back to you — and, where you’ve chosen to share it, to the members of your group.

8.Termination

You can stop using Goodlist and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or where required by law.

9.No warranty; limitation of liability

Goodlist is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including uninterrupted availability. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

Medicines are not medical advice. The Meds tab is a reminder and a record-keeper. It doesn’t check doses, interactions or schedules, and a reminder can fail to arrive — for example if notifications are turned off, the phone is off, or the operating system delays it. Always follow your doctor or pharmacist, and don’t rely on Goodlist alone for a medicine where a missed dose matters.

Task alarms aren’t guaranteed either. The same notification limits apply: an alarm can fail to arrive if notifications or Android’s “Alarms & reminders” permission are turned off, the phone is off or in a restricted power mode, or the operating system delays it. The Calendar tells you when Goodlist can’t ring, but it can’t fix a setting for you. Don’t rely on a task alarm alone for anything time-critical.

10.Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Goodlist evolves. Material changes will update the effective date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
